I finally got around to posting this. This is the video clip that was shot shortly after I came upon my Illinois buck. Thanks again to Tyler and Josh at Riverview Outfitters for providing an outstanding experience, and for putting me in the vicinity of such a great deer. Their contact information is displayed at the conclusion of the video, and you can feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

This clip sums up the frustration of last week. We had the perfect setup, and the big buck came in exactly as I imagined he would. I picked the spot a few days earlier, we set our stands, and the plan came together perfectly…almost.
I located a series of massive rubs along a thicket about a week before this hunt. With the prevailing wind perfect for morning or evening hunts in this area, it was shaping up to be a hot spot. It only took two hunts in this spot to produce this good buck, but lucky for him, he was a bit banged up.
I don’t think this is the same buck responsible for the rubs, so there’s still hope. Maybe the “big guy” is the one who busted this one up? Only time will tell.
This interview was shot shortly after we found the “Moose Buck,” on November 1, 2009. Mark Duffield shot him on Halloween night, after almost deciding not to hunt that evening. We saw this buck last year when he was much smaller. We were amazed at how much he grew in just one year!
Use this helpful tip to better understand the quality of the bucks in your hunting area before making the decision to take the shot.
I took this doe at 07:20 on my property in southern Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Be sure to click the HD button on the bottom right of the video to watch it in high definition.
Just a clip from my morning hunt. Not a ton of activity, but enjoyed the time out.
Here is the first of what I hope to be frequent video posts to Rub Lines. Now that I’m familiar with You Tube, I thought this might be a nice way to add a bit more quality and excitement to the blog. Enjoy!
